I love being an animated story developer, helping others deepen the emotional and narrative impact of the stories they want to tell. I'm a trained dramaturg - an expert in narrative structure, close reading, character, and story analysis. I approach animated storytelling with a dramaturgical mindset, an eye for detail, and a whole lotta heart.

I connect with animated storytelling because every morsel of the end product is hand-crafted and purposeful. As animators and storytellers, we cannot afford to gloss over details. We delight in nuance. Every set piece, every character, every bit of dialogue bursts with flavor, and we seek to push the boundaries of visual delight by giving body to things once thought to be without form. Because of our eye for detail and our need for depth, animated storytelling reminds me that I am human. I love how animated storytelling asks viewers to look around at the people they are sharing an experience with and connect to them.

My creative agenda also demands that I give female-identifying characters the heart, dimension, and complex emotional life that they deserve. The stories I tell place women at the center of narratives that honor and love them.
